Segovia Scales for Improvisors

Around the middle of the twentieth century, the prominent classical guitarist Andres Segovia released a short pamphlet titled Diatonic Major and Minor Scales. This has become an important resource for classical guitarists, but is useful for musicians performing in any style of music. This book revisits the Segovia scales and adds new material.
Part I includes the original Segovia scales, but in a much more readable format. There are 24 scales. A couple examples are found below.
Part II contains additional material. This includes scale formulas as well as standard, pentatonic, and eight note bebop scales. The book concludes with bluesy exercises in twelve keys using a mixture of open and fretted notes in first position.
